Whether you’ve just landed your dream job, or have finally written up that five year plan of yours- there was once a time where things didn’t all fit together the way you wanted them to. If you feel like you’re lost and constantly questioning the direction of your life or who you are as a person, this is for you.
Take Your Time
There’s no deadline set for when you have to sort your life out. When you feel lost and unsure of where you want to be or of who you are, that’s simply a sign from the universe that you need to take the time to make some changes to your life. These changes won’t happen in a day as much as you might want them to. Breathe, relax, and take your time.
We All Get Lost Sometimes
You’re not the only person to ever question where you are, or where you should be in life. I have discovered myself lost many times throughout my life, and have often found that those were the most transforming and defining moments I have experienced. Many times, it can be easy to lose yourself in someone else or a relationship you’ve poured yourself into. You may feel completely lost without that person, but it’s important to embrace the feeling of being lost, for it means change is on its way.
Often, when you find yourself feeling uncertain, full of doubt and lost, it means that you are in need of change in your life. Change can be a scary thing. It means stepping away from what you’re comfortable with, and jumping blindly into the unknown. Although there’s no way of knowing whether the outcome will be positive, when you’re feeling stagnant and unsure embracing new aspects of life and changing your routine can be just what you need to feel motivated again.
Do Things For Yourself
It’s not selfish to put yourself first in your times of need. Feeling lost can be discouraging, especially when it seems that everyone around you has their lives together. Do things that make you happy. Rekindle old hobbies you once loved, try new things, spend time in the outdoors, and embrace each day. Slowly, you’ll start to find what you love and are passionate for just by experiencing with new things!
Don’t Worry About Social Media
It’s so easy to get caught up in scrolling through Instagram, looking in on how amazing some people’s lives seem to be, and comparing their happiest moments to your lowest. Most of the time, people will show you what they want you to see. Social media isn’t always an accurate depiction of how life is, so don’t let it get you down! A few days or weeks break from social media can be a great break and help you feel refreshed.
How have you dealt with feeling lost and unsure of yourself? I’d love to hear your experiences and stories!
